Achieve the look of a glass interface panel without the cost with Parlex "Light Touch" Membrane Technology. Polymer Thick Film-based "Light Touch" Technology employs a polycarbonate graphic in conjunction with a membrane switch so you can achieve the look of a glass interface panel with the "Light Touch" feel.

"LIGHT TOUCH" CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION

  • Polycarbonate Graphic:

  • Standard polycarbonate graphic laminated to a PET layer that is printed with either silver or carbon shorting pads.
  • High temperature polycarbonate directly printed with the silver or carbon shorting pads.
  • Spacer Material:

  • Screen printed adhesive or a discrete die-cut material applied to either the polycarbonate graphic or the PET printed pill layer.
  • PTF Circuit:

  • Silver, dielectric and carbon ink systems printed on a 5 mil PET substrate. Multi-layer and double-sided circuit designs are an option.
  • Back-side Adhesive:

  • The specific pressure sensitive adhesive and thickness to be used would be evaluated based upon the specifc application requirements
